Four Shepton Mallet Gymnastics Club members recorded impressive results when they represented Somerset at the South West Inter-Counties final recently.
George Norman has played a key role in the county squad over the past six years and carried on his success as part of the senior open team, helping Somerset win team silver.
Toby Ross was the star of the weekend in the under-12 section, though, taking gold in the vault and adding silver in the team event.
Ten-year-old Ross also recently won four gold medals in the boys' District competition and is SW Grade 2 Tumbling champion in his age group, qualifying for the national finals.
Matthew Candy and Ben Hook also impressed as part of the Somerset squad at the competition and their hard work with coach Clare Smith has paid dividends.
The club have been working hard over the past 12 months, performing summer displays, undertaking fundraising and securing British Gymnastics badges. They participate in all levels of competitions to give everyone a chance to display their ability.
