Realistic pricing is the key to successful sales

As we approach the latter part of the year, it seems like a good time to look back at the market place during 2012.

Even in challenging economic times, we have still seen good buyer activity levels throughout the year. The section of the market that has continued to generate a good level of buyer interest is town properties. One reason for this could be the diverse range of property on offer; whatever the reason, Glastonbury continues to appeal to a broad range of buyers, a trend that seems set to continue well into the new year.

On a personal note, I am pleased to announce my official promotion to manager of the Glastonbury Residential Office. It is a great honour to have been given this opportunity within a firm with as much history and diversity as Cooper and Tanner. I believe this partly reflects the positive strides and subsequent success the office has had over the last 12 months. However, this success has only come about thanks to the support and continued drive of a superb team. Thomas, Roisin, Abby and Julie provide the backbone to what is a friendly, determined and dedicated team.

Accurate pricing and realistic seller expectations will continue to prove vital in achieving success in the current climate. But I believe the one overriding reason for our achievements at the Glastonbury office has been the continued positive attitude and determination from the team to succeed, something I believe we offer in abundance.
