I think that this is a brilliant book. In it there is war, hope and how sometimes life is so unfair.
The book is about a boy called Aman and his mother who leave Afghanistan and travel to England and the people they meet on the way. Sometimes when you are reading it you feel like part of the story but you can't do anything to help. Aman has had a very tough life and his friend Matt and the dog Shadow give him hope to carry on going to England. The way the book is written is very good because you always want to read on and each chapter is written from a different point of view.
