Landlords from across Mendip are being invited to an event which will bring together a range of partner agencies and housing sector contacts.
The day being run by Mendip District Council in partnership with Mendip YMCA and the National Landlord Association aims to act as a networking event for landlords.
Council benefits staff, Somerset Care and Repair, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service as well as local solicitors and building companies will all attend.
Mendip's empty homes officer Sally Taylor said: "The aim of the event is to bring together landlords from across the district and put them in touch with a range of useful public and private sector contacts. We also see the event as the perfect forum for sharing ideas and are keen to hear back from landlords about our plans to update the Landlord Accreditation Scheme."
The event takes place on Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm at Tramways, West Street, Wells, BA5 2HN. On November 30, to mark national Empty Homes Week, the council will also be holding a drop-in session at the council chamber in Shepton Mallet for anybody who wants advice and support on how to bring an empty home back into use. The session will run from 10am to 2pm.For more information contact Sally Taylor, on 01749 341410 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
