Ken keeps cool to take title

Ken Ings won the singles title, while Jan Nicholls and Mike Windsor took the doubles honours, when Kingweston Golf Club's seniors staged the conclusion of their annual knockout competitions.

There was a close finish to the October stableford, with Stefan Owen beating Michael Standen on countback after both scored 34 points. Mike Windsor was third.

In the main club, Neil Ward's Chairman's Shield competition was played in perfect conditions and the results were again close.

Riza Terzi claimed top spot with 32 points on countback from Ian Nicholls and Peter Nurse. There were two-spots for Ian Crafer and Darren Chapman.
