Singer songwriter Lee Rahn, from Street, is ready to grab the chance of a lifetime as he prepares to perform in the Open Mic UK Area Final at the Sub89 underground club and live music venue in Reading on Sunday, December 2.
Lee was up against some tough competition when he successfully won through a qualifying round in Cardiff and the regional final in Bristol.
He has now reached the area final making him just one step away from the prestigious Grand Final at the O2 Arena, London, in January next year.
Open Mic UK is a national music competition for singers and solo artists in the UK.
The competition attracts more than 8,000 acts every year as it travels across the country in the search for the UK's best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists
He was one of ten musicians out of 30 that won through to the area finals in Reading.
Lee would appreciate as much support as possible in Reading on Sunday, December 2, where he is due on stage at 3.30pm.
Anyone wishing to attend should contact Lee for tickets which are £9 or £20 for the complete package which includes return transport and ticket.
A coach will be leaving Street at 11am, Glastonbury at 11.15am and Wells at 11.30am.
Please note Lee has to be at the venue for 1.30pm and the coach is expected to leave Reading around 6pm once the winners have been announced.
