Wells Men's Breakfast meets on Saturday at 8am. The venue, as usual, is Beah Restaurant in Union Street, where a full English breakfast will be served.
After breakfast, the guest speaker is Major General Ray Pett.
Gurkhas have served the British Crown for 200 years, winning 13 Victoria Crosses.
Huge numbers volunteered in both World Wars and Gurkhas were the main British force in Malaya and Borneo.
They also fought in the Falklands, the former Yugoslavia, the Gulf and Afghanistan.
No formal membership of the Wells Men's Breakfast exists and there is no annual subscription.
