Actor James Lance from Westbury-sub-Mendip is off to the Berlin Film Festival next week and the premiere of his latest film, Bel Ami.
The film stars Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci.
Pattinson plays the lead character George Duroy in the film, which is based on a short story by Guy De Maupassant set at the end of the 19th century.
The story chronicles journalist George Duroy's corrupt rise to power from a poor ex-NCO to one of the most successful men in Paris, most of which he achieves by manipulating a series of powerful, intelligent, and wealthy mistresses.
James plays a love-rival of Pattinson's.
James' mother, Catherine Tarrant from Wookey, said: "There are great costumes and he has a large false mustache.
"James has a bedroom scene with Uma when I asked how it went he just said 'fine' – he is ever the gentleman."
Catherine said that, after enquiring further, all her son would reveal was that Uma Thurman has large feet.
James is also in episode 3 of Being Human on BBC3 on Sunday, February 26.
The episode is set in the 1970s and he plays a murderer, who will be wearing a rather less stylish tank top and flared trousers.
